Raka’s party to celebrate the holiday season, the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 was held at the fantastic Wellington Room overlooking the harbor in downtown Portsmouth. We took over the entire restaurant and had a blast celebrating where we’ve been and reaffirming where we’re going. We’re already looking forward to the 2010 party!

Raka recently built a landing page, working with our partner VIA, for FairPoint Communications’ new campaign titled “Love Your Bundle”. The site features the lovable “bundle” animal in an integrated video form as well as all the details, in expanding Javascript buckets, you might need on Phone, TV and Internet from FairPoint. Raka recently launched a new website for the Boston-based private equity firm Bunker Hill Capital. With a conservative and clean look, as well as Boston-centric imagery that shows off its urban New England roots, a solid PHP foundation with a content management system to update the News, Team and Portfolio Companies easily, as well as randomized Flash quotes through the site, Bunker Hill’s new site will serve the firm well as it looks for new partners and opportunities. Raka recently designed, developed and launched a comprehensive new website for Primus Guaranty, a leading manager of corporate credit assets and provider of credit protection. With a clean corporate front-end, including live Investor Relations data, to a robust back-end system for managing client data, Raka delivered a visually striking and highly-effective web application to this international financial firm. Liberty Mutual just launched a new interactive Flash piece built by Raka. The piece uses video and fun animation to help explain to students the different opportunities available to them at Liberty Mutual after graduation. With closed captioning, motion-blurred sliding and more, this Flash piece proved to be an exciting project that the Raka team is pleased to present. View the Liberty Mutual Careers Flash here!

Freedom Fertility Pharmacy, an Express Scripts company, launched its new website today, designed and developed by Raka.

Complete with a blog, search engine optimization, “Ask a Nurse” and “Order Refill” forms and a targeted content management system for updating news and pricing, this website will help the nation’s number one infertility pharmacy continue to offer their patients superior service and support.

Raka designed and developed a website for PaperPort Professional 12, the popular software from Nuance. Designed as a streamlined site with minimal content, the main object of this website is to give a quick education on PaperPort, show the great reviews it has, and allow people to quickly purchase the software directly from Nuance. An interactive Flash piece with opening and closing of animations is the showcase on the homepage, while we use AJAX to launch an animated video over the top of the entire website. In addition to the website, Raka also developed the colorful logo mark for the software that is featured on the front of the box, as well as an animated Flash demo that showcases the best features of the software.

Raka recently launched a new website for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association called ISDA CDS Marketplace. Built to educate on credit default swaps by explaining their place in the financial world, as well as show a layer of transparency with statistics, the site pulls data from multiple vendors and sources, and lays it all out in a straight-forward and easy-to-follow format. The result is a crisp and tasteful website that hides a great deal of programming behind a clean design. After launch the site received press in both the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times.

Raka recently launched a website for the seacoast restaurant Bonta. With their excellent menu, reputation and decor, we wanted to give Bonta a similarly high-end website that delivers a visual style with distinction. In addition to the warm and inviting design, the website features a robust content management system that is simple to use, yet powerful enough to keep all of their menus up to date and enticing.
