Matt Barry

DEVELOPER

Matt is Raka’s resident chef. He worked 8 years in kitchens, learning all he could about the best ingredients, cooking methods and how to make great food. This experience of putting different elements together to make a perfect dish has lent itself well to the interactive world where he’s always using different technologies to make one cohesive product. Also, he helps the rest of the team in their quest to learn how to boil rice correctly.

He graduated from SMCC with an AS in Computer Technology with a GPA of 3.8 and as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, all the while working 40+ hours at 2 jobs. He worked at Bowdoin College at the IT Help Desk, where he was introduced to many cutting edge technologies and had opportunities to hone his programming skills.

Outside of playing poker and Unreal Tournament with the rest of the Raka crew, Matt enjoys eating too much sushi, searching for Indian food that’s spicy enough for him, green bottled beer, XBOX and spending time with his girlfriend, though not necessarily in that order (for example, he really loves his XBOX).
