Raka Supports Culture and Community

Education, arts, non-profits, and more

Since our inception, the community has been top of mind. We spend our days loyally serving our clients while representing the community around us to the best of our ability. As advocates, supporters, and contributors, community is at the heart of everything we produce.

As a working part of our mission, Raka donates our time and talents—which includes the creation of marketing collateral, consultation, strategy, design, copywriting, development, maintenance, and more—to many non-profit organizations in our community as means of strengthening the greater good of where we live, work, and explore.

Annual day of service

On top of our typical day-to-day work, Raka also takes part in a day of service each year, where we donate our day to help a worthy cause in the community. We’ve painted houses for shelters, clear-cut fields, repaired playground equipment at local schools, cleaned out barns, and performed landscaping activities for non-profit groups throughout the greater Seacoast.

Nurturing the workforce of tomorrow

Raka has worked closely with the University of New Hampshire as well as area high schools and middle schools to share our experience in digital marketing and business.

In 2017, Raka began a partnership with administrators, professors, and students to help develop what has become the University of New Hampshire’s student-led digital agency, Voice Z Digital. Our work includes collaborating with the UNH’s Paul College of Business to develop digital marketing curriculum under the Business in Practice (BiP) program, teaching courses, and helping define and scope services and processes for Voice Z Digital to provide to area nonprofits and startup businesses.

One of our favorite opportunities is to share our experience with our community. This includes hosting students from Portsmouth Middle School each year to share what it’s like to work in a digital agency and answer their questions on how they might get experience in our industry after graduation.

We are dedicated to working with younger students to help them explore career opportunities. Furthermore, we love working with higher education institutions to help students gain valuable experience as interns!
